In this review we are going to talk about the the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and DJI Mavic 2 Zoom, their pros, cons, performance, and how this drone takes videos and photos. As the name suggest, these Mavic Pro drones are mainly designed for the professional who wants superb image quality, but still maintain some portability.

Before we get too deep into this review, let me say that both the Mavic Pro 2 drones are the same as far as the spec with the exception of the camera. The Mavic 2 Pro comes equipped with the new Hasselblad L1D-20c camera while the Mavic 2 Zoom brings a 12 MP, 1/2.3-inch sensor with up to 4x zoom, including a 2x optical zoom (24–48mm) for even more creative options.

Here is the Mavic 2 introduction video from DJI:

This is another great video review of the DJI Mavic 2 Pro with some great commentary on the camera and lense options.

Let’s talk about some of the awesome feature with these DJI Mavic 2 drones.

The Mavic 2 series omni-directional obstacle avoidance system comes with ten sensors, covering left, right, up, down, forward and backward. The drastically improved environmental sensing system makes it difficult to crash. Be aware that the obstacle avoidance feature does not work in sport mode or during high speed tracking. If you are about crash, the Mavic 2 will auto-brake. Even though the left and right sensors are only switched on when you’re in ActiveTrack mode, it’s still pretty difficult to crash one of these, unless you really want to.

DJI say this series can hover for 29 minutes in optimal conditions, and have a maximum of 31 minutes of airtime. More realistic is about 25 minutes. Recharging the batteries from empty to full, takes about 45 to 50 minutes.
