CINOTON LED Motion Security Light Review
Let’s talk about the CINOTON LED Motion Security Light Review. I had purchased these lights for my mother’s house as a motion security light. I hardwired it on the rear corner of the house, under the soffit. The lights are bright, very bright, and the motion sensor picked up right away, at the right distance. My mom has several plants in the back yard, about 20 feet from the LED light, but the movement of the plants did not set off the sensor. When I walked in front of the plants, I did set off the sensor.
Not much else to say, I love these lights… Then… about 8 months later the lights failed.
I contacted the seller, and they sent me a replacement within days.
When I replaced the light, I noticed that this could have been my fault. The housing on this light is round, the electrical box on my mother’s soffit is rectangular. This apparently did not fully enclose or cover the rear of the light housing, which might have allowed water penetration, and could have affected the failure.
I did disassemble the light, bypassed the sensor and the LED lights worked. This meant that the sensor or other system failed within the controls of the light.
This time I sealed everything correctly, and will follow up if these CINOTON LED Motion Security Lights ever fail.
