- When the ambient temperature is too high, you can close the lid to maintain the temperature of the ice cubes – The ice holding compartment does not have a cooling system.

This icemaker was packaged very nicely. Everything was wrapped and taped up, but it was still easy to unpack and to remove the tape.
I must say…..I am impressed with the capability of this ice maker machine! Cleaning and set up is simple. It is sturdy, sleek, easy to use and truly makes ice in approximately 8-12 minutes. You have the ability to choose between 2 sizes, LG and SM sized cubes. The compressor is quiet while operating and the only real sound you hear is when the ice cubes drop into the tray, the water movement and the fan. The fan portion puts out a good bit of air, so make sure you have plenty of space on that right side to vent.
The front panel has notification lights for adding water, ice full, small ice size, large ice size, and also has a select button and the power button. It also comes with the removable ice basket and scoop. It is crazy simple to use. Just pour water in the tank, select the size and turn it on!
Once the ice is made and dropped onto the holding tray, it starts melting as this section is not cooled. Best thing is either use the ice or empty into the freezer or the will start to stick to each other.
This ice maker would be great for small gatherings, parties, RVs or other outdoors area (so long as you have power) or an affordable way to make ice when your freezer doesn’t make ice correctly.
