Description of the HAVA R01 Compact Dishwasher

The HAVA R01 Compact Countertop Dishwasher is a feature packed mini countertop dishwasher designed for portability and space saving. This compact countertop dishwasher comes in at 17′ x 17′ x 18′ (inches) in size, yet it is still would work for families of 2 to 4. The HAVA R01 can use the built-in 5 liter water supply, or can be used by attaching the supply line to a faucet.

Built-in LED Lights & Clear Door

I’m a geek for all this stuff, and I love the clear door. The built-in LED light lets you see the dishwashing process, and I think it’s super cool. The LED light turns on automatically when the door is open so you can easily load or unload the dishes.

Dual Spray Arms & 360 Rinsing

Having dual spray arms and 360 rinsing allows for better cleansing, hitting every surface area. There are 14 water ports on the spray arms that are designed to provide both top and bottom spraying for 360° coverage.

Dry Mode

The Dry Mode can run after the dishwashing cycle has ran. No, it’s not heated dray mode, but it does dry the dishes within the 60 minutes, and vents air out the side.

Countertop Dishwasher Capacity

Clearly this is a compact dishwasher and whill not handle the same capacity of a normal kitchen dishwasher, but it’s capacity is kind of impressive for a countertop dishwasher. It can Up-to 12″ plates lined side by side, 8 cups and your spoons, forks and knives.

Filtration System

The dishwasher built-in filter system is to prevent food particles from getting lodged inside the pump. Should be cleaned after use.

5 Wash Cycles of the HAVA R01

The HAVA R01 Countertop Dishwasher comes with 5 wash cycles.

The Normal wash cycle work as a normal dishwasher wash cycle, and runs for 69 minutes, plus an additional 60 minutes to air dry the contents.

The Speed cycle will is intended for your lightly soiled items, and will run for 29 minutes, plus the additional 60 minutes of drying.

The Soft cycle is more for slightly dirty dishes, or to refresh the items. This wash cycle runs for 59 Minutes, plus the 60 minutes of drying.

Here is where it becomes more interesting, there is a Baby Care wash cycle, this cycle is for washing baby bottles or other baby products. Some parents even wash baby toys in this cycle. This wash cycle runs 89 Minutes, plus the 60 minutes to dry.

The Fruit cycle runs for 19 minutes washing the surface of the fruits with room temperature water. Yes, you should always wash your fruits before eating them.

The Speed and Soft wash cycles on this countertop dishwasher are great for when you are at home and dishes are not that dirty, or heavily stained. But they are also good for RV, Motorhome, and even short terms rentals such as AirBnB or VRBO owners.

If you have an RV or a Motorhome you know how limited space can be. This compact dishwasher can be stored away when not in use, then easily placed on the countertop when you want to wash the dishes. Using only 5 Liters of water to clean the dishes is also important, as the normal consumer will use approximately 15 Liters of water to wash the same amount of plates as the capacity of this countertop dishwasher.

Often short term rentals such as AirBnB and VRBO don’t have a full sized dishwasher, this HAVA R01 Dishwasher can easily be placed on the countertop for quick and easy washing.

What everyone wants to know from this HAVA R01 Countertop Dishwasher Review is does it work, YES. Actually quite well!

Are there other portable dishwashers on the market, Yes. But this HAVA countertop dishwasher has thousands of positive reviews and seems to be one of the better selling portable dishwashers on the market.

If you don’t like doing dishes manually, and don’t have a household dishwasher or space is limited, this is a great option. The countertop dishwasher is effective, and actually cleans extremely well.

The capacity is decent enough for a a family of 4, assuming you have 4 plates and up-to 8 cups. You can fit plenty of spoons, forks and knives. You just might have to remove the top on the cutlery box. If you are a single person, or just a couple, then this is very well suited for your needs.

One of the better features is the on-board 5L tank. This allows you to use this portable dishwasher anywhere you can access electricity. I used to have an RV, and this would have been great to use there. I could have put it outside (or on the countertop) and had it run without needing a water supply line attached to it. It does come with a water supply line that can be attached to your faucet, but I rather use the tank. Unless you are repeatedly using this HAV! R01 dishwasher, why connect the supply line.

The only negative reviews I have read anywhere about the HAVA R01 is that it leaked water, normally on it’s first few uses. This could have been damage that occurred during shipping process. HAVA does offer a 12-Month Warranty against all manufacturing defects for 12 months after purchase. (posted on their Site)
